I just completed my first Wherigo cartridge on my own, did one other with friends, and it was very cool. This game can now be played on smartphones with Android technology using an application called “WhereYouGo”. Users can find the application in the Android Market and its free!
I have had a fascination with the Wherigo game since it first appeared in Groundspeaks stable of location based games. The only thing that kept me from jumping in was the initial cost of the equipment to play. Now that the cost barrier is decreasing, and the technology to play Wherigo is at the fingertips of any user with a smartphone running Android Technology, I hope this game evolves into a more popular game like Geocaching. The Wherigo cartridges can be combined with Groundspeaks Geocaching games to create interesting adventures for outdoor enthusiasts.
